Long-timers will remember the 40-foot lizard that one sat atop the now demolished deli on the corner of 13th and 5th when it was the famed Lone Star Cafe. The bar closed in 1989, and the iguana disappeared, but as this article says, it has now been found.

The annual shareholder’s meeting will take place on Wednesday June 30th at 7PM at the Seafarers’ and Interational House at 123 East 15th St, second floor.
At the meeting, the Board of Directors will be seeking at least one new member. Just what we needed: another beverage outlet. Meet Argo Tea, a small chain of fancy tea shops, which will soon open a new branch in the old Dean and Deluca space on University Place. (You can sample it now at another outlet in the Flatiron Building.)
We’ll miss Cafe Deville on the corner of 13th and 3rd. Replacing it is Penny Farthing, a gastropub type place that is off to a fast start.
Wow. NYU has some very big plans for its expansion.
