This weekend the site will be open on Saturday, July 28st for superstructure related activities and curtain wall installation between the work hours of 7AM and 5PM as permitted by the City. The crane on 13th st. will not be used during the weekend.

Next week (July 30 to August 3), Material and equipment deliveries and installation work will continue on all floors. Curtain wall installation on upper floors will continue and lower levels will continue on 13th st. with the aid of a small crane. The crane will remain on 13th st. for the purpose of curtain wall installation.

The following week (August 6 to August 10) Material and equipment deliveries and installation work will continue on all floors. Curtain wall installation will continue on all floors.

Neighbor James Morgan has done additional investigative work to find out the following:
–The name of the cafe may be Maison de Croque Monsieur.
–The owners are from the Petite Abielle group.
–They intend to keep the antique signage on the building, which is great.

Rumor has it that the recently departed The Adore on 13th St. will be replaced by another French cafe. More rumors soon.

Curtain wall installation on upper floors will continue and lower levels will begin on 13th st. with the aid of a small crane. We have relocated the 5th ave. sidewalk shed/pedestrian walkway to the exterior of the building.

The following week (July 30 to August 3) Material and equipment deliveries and installation work will continue on all floors. Curtain wall installation will continue on all floors.

This weekend the site will be open on Saturday, July 21st for superstructure related activities and curtain wall installation between the work hours of 7AM and 5PM as permitted by the City.

Next week (July 16 to July 20), Mechanical equipment deliveries and work on them will continue at the 17th and 18th floor levels. Deliveries for the internal systems of the building have been ongoing and will continue. Curtain wall installation will continue.

The following week (July 23 to July 27), we will be working on the machine room levels on the 17th and 18th floors. Deliveries for the internal systems of the building have been ongoing and will continue, although they should not greatly affect the flow of pedestrian and road traffic.

This weekend the site will be open on Saturday, July 14th for superstructure related activities between the work hours of 7AM and 5PM as permitted by the City. To control noise levels within the site, work activities will be limited to the placement of formwork and concrete, plumbing and electrical work, rebar for concrete placement, using the crane and equipment to support all activities. Safety horns are used, and required by law, to coordinate lifting with the crane and to alert the workers of the danger overhead. We have directed the operators to limit the use of horns to one short sounding and to use the crane later in the day so as to avoid any excess noise.

The following week (July 16 to July 20), we will be working on the machine room levels on the 17th and 18th floors. Curtain wall will continue to be installed on the building. This weekend the site will be open on Saturday, July 7th for superstructure activities as well as the demobilization of the crane from the site. In order to facilitate this effort we will be closing 13th street for the day to pedestrian and automotive traffic. Site work will begin at 6AM as permitted by the City. To control noise levels within the site, work activities will be limited to working on the mechanical systems of the building and using the crane and equipment to support activities.
