Not that the area needed another high-end coffee pourer, but here comes Blue Bottle Coffee, on University between 12th and 13th.

Here’s the southwest corner of the square in the early ’80s, the site of the former SKlein department store and now the site of Zeckendorf Towers.

You may remember The Adore on the 13th St. block. Now, a couple of doors down at the former site of the copy shop and, briefly, Blossom de Jour, will be a new French/Japanese bakery called Patisserie Fouet.
